We are a family operated guide service, operating from this same address since 1939. We offer very reasonable guide fees, and an honest full days' hunt. We have experienced guides, excellent food, gentle mountain trained horses, top of the line equipment and comfortable lodging. You won't be disappointed in our programs or our very productive camps.

We base our hunts from high mountain ranches we own in southwest Montana. We hunt "semi-wilderness" areas that prohibit motorized vehicles and also offer 4 wheel drive hunts on thousands of acres on our river ranches. Our river bottom ranches offer excellent private hunts for mule and whitetail deer and leased properites on the plains to the east offer unsurpassed antelope hunting.

Any type of combination hunt may be set up for any number of days that will fit your needs and schedule. You may also include fishing or a scenic float trip on your September and October hunts.

Please note: You do not have a hunt or summer program booked with the Brogan family until we have received a deposit and you have received a receipt for the same. Personal checks are accepted for deposits, the balance is due by cash,
cashiers check or traveler's check upon your arrival in Montana.

All deposits are non-refundable, but may be applied to another hunt: if you do not draw a lottery bull/buck tag, you may use said deposit for the cow/doe hunt. You may also use your deposit for a similar hunt in 2012.

Arrive at noon at the Home Ranch the day before your hunt is to begin. We will do paperwork at the Home Ranch and move into camp that afternoon. Each client will be asked to sign an "Acceptance of Responsibility Insurance Release" upon arrival. You may purchase insurance for your group, called "Travel Guard." Call 1-.866.877.3241. I have no affiliation with this company. You will hunt 4 full days with horses or 4 Wheel Drive units. You will leave camp after breakfast the last day of your hunt. We must know 60 days in advance if you prefer to hunt with horses or 4 Wheel Drive units. We also must be informed if you have any health problems or dietary problemns that may interfere with your hunting in our area.

We require a $1000 deposit per person to secure booking. This deposit is non-refundable, however, it may be applied to the following year on a similar hunt by the person making the deposit. (If you do not draw a license your deposit will be refunded) Personal checks (please make checks payable to Tom Brogan - NOT Big Sky, Inc.) are accepted for the deposit, cash, cashiers checks or travelers checks ONLY for the balance when you arrive in Montana for your hunt.

We utilize cots or bunks for sleeping. Lodging consists of modern cabins, lodges, or small camp trailers for privacy. The camp trailers are not modern, do not have toilet facilities and are located close to the main lodge. The main lodge is open 24 hours a day. Food is served family style or buffet and all lunches are provided. We use horses and 4 wheel drive vehicles, working from the same base camp each morning. Most clients utilize both methods during their hunt. There are no hidden fees or trophy fees. We do have a very modern game processing plant where your game is cut, frozen and boxed to your specs when your hunt is over. We also hold a taxidermy license. There is a nominal fee for processing game, caping heads, etc.
